Olympus Waterproof Camera Stylus Tough 8010 is the latest waterproof model from Olympus “Tough” line.
This camera looks and feels very sturdy, as unlike most waterproof cameras, this one has got the double protection. There is a double-lock to prevent the battery cover from sudden opening and a double sealant for extra waterproofing protection.
- The image and video quality is very good due to the 14 megapixels resolution and HD movie recording. The video recording is made as easy to use as possible – with a press of just one button.

- Olympus Waterproof Camera Stylus Tough 8010 comes with an astonishing built-in memory of 2GB and a Photo-Surfing option. Olympus Waterproof Camera photo-surfing allows you to download your pictures from a PC back to your camera. It also eases the process of finding the required images by the recorded information such as “date”, “i-AUTO” and “ Scene mode”. Along with the provided software, you can organize your pictures into groups based on who is in the picture or where the photo has been taken, which sometimes comes quite handy.
- This camera has got an in-camera Panorama option, that gives you an opportunity to capture 3 images and stitch them together, so that you could create a panoramic image.

Olympus Waterproof Camera Stylus Tough 8010 is a bit heavier than most waterproof cameras, being 215g, but it's not only water-, shock-, dust- and freeze-proof, it is also a crushproof, that is designed to withstand up to 220 pounds (100 kg). But the overall size still remains quite small, so it doesn't look bulky and is easy to keep it in the pocket.
So, if you are looking for a very sturdy waterproof camera with double protection for the peace of mind and for something with a large-capacity 2GB built-in memory, then Olympus Waterproof Camera Stylus Tough 8010 would suit you ideally.

Olympus Waterproof Camera Stylus Tough 8010
Before buying Olympus Waterproof Camera I did plenty of analysis. I give this camera 5 STARS along with a large thumbs up!!!
I just got it right now only a few short hours ago and need to say I am extremely impressed, straightforward to make use of proper out of the box (after initial charging of the battery) and I have already captured fantastic photos and videos. Some reviews say the Olympus Waterproof Camera does not turn on right away which isn't accurate once you go into the menu initially and to your "setup" and turn PW to "off" that prevents the logo from initially loading everytime which is why some say it it slow to commence, a extremely easy fix if you take the time to go via your setup menu whenever you get it instead of just pointing and shooting proper off the bat.
The pictures I have taken both indoor and outdoors are clear not grainy and the HD video is awesome. Olympus Waterproof Camera even has sound when previewing your vids from camera, which I love since my Kodak didn't I would never know what sounds had been on vids prior to until I uploaded them to edit them not anymore =) I also adore the macro and super macro settings as I love to take close ups of flowers and issues. I have not tested the waterproof as of yet but will this eve and I am certain it will do just fine.
I need to say that so far this is one sweet camera and I am not a photographer newbie and take my cameras and work serious so in the event you take the time to set your camera up and go through your menu setup you will be just fine.
I love it...first got it and also the next day took it river water rafting... it was dropped, hit, smashed, dunked...and nothing stopped it from working, taking fantastic photos and videos and still looking brand new. My buddies went out to get one of their own!
Every thing works exactly as it's advertised. 14MP produces sharp images, auto focus finds the right subject, waterproof (tried on the extender in fresh & brine), movies work great (very minimal noise). Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.
I give Olympus Waterproof Camera an A+, and i am really looking forward to seeing what improvements they create on it in the next couple years.

This is one excellent camera, even with the relatively low megapixels resolution the overall quality of features for this price makes one of the bests (if not the best) machines of the category.
hey person who wrote this bout this awesome ..thanks heaps ay..ladharz and take kea
I would definately recommend the olympus FE-280. they rock and have 8 megapixels. i have one myself and i luv it. DO NOT GET THE KODAK EASYSHARE because they are fat…….. unless you like fat camera…. these both have scene modes. My friend has the Kodak Easyshare C6130 and she HATES it! It takes terrible pics and has like no megapixels. her parents got it for her and wont let her get a new one, she is so desperate she is going to buy one herself.
Given the budget they're working with this time around, I also hope that R-Patts gets his way and they do the eye color using CGI (or whatever). I've got my own ulterior motive here, though: when watching Twilight (er, several times…), I found it really distracting (and amateur-ish) that you could see the edges of the contacts in some of the close-ups (and there were a LOT of close ups – lol).
Enjoying your blog!
